Resin Repair of Timber

Beam splice with steel connecting rods encased in a retained shutter to be filled with epoxy resin structural grout
Resin repair of timber beam end

Two-part epoxy resin repair of timber methods has been used in buildings to repair large dimension timbers for many years which are rotten or need upgrading to carry a more significant load. We have extensive experience in this type of repair.

A new combined repair using a wood & steel rods splice allows minimum disruption to the building fabric. It makes it a more building friendly repair method than traditional methods, as you can save ceilings and cornice work etc.  They have a significant environmental bonus when used as they help retain a majority of the building structure and the carbon footprint relating to the damage done by other methods is good.

Structural engineers’ calculations can be supplied for some of the connection if required.
